THE INDICATIVE
1) The present tense in Spanish corresponds to:
- The simple present:
he says hello = dice hola
we go to the movies = vamos al cine
- The progressive tense:
it is rainning = llueve
we are eating = comemos
- The form with do:
I don't go very often, but when I do (go) ...)
No voy con frecuencia, pero cuando voy ...
2) It is used :
- when asking for instructions:
where sall I put this book?
¿donde pongo este libro?
- To describe an action beginning in the past and continuing to the present:
I have been here for a month
llevo aquí un mes or hace un mes que estoy aquí
